Plan for at least 8 GB for a small map, 16 GB for a 3,500 to 4,000 map with a regular community, and more for large maps. Memory use grows during a wipe as players build, and the player count weighs mostly on the processor.

In the server configuration, set the size (1,000 to 6,000) and the seed, then restart. A new seed or size generates a new map.

Take a backup first so you can roll back. Stop the server, delete the .map and .sav files in the server folder from the file manager, change the seed if you want a new map, then restart. For a blueprint wipe, also delete the player.blueprints files.

One-click Oxide and Carbon installation is not available yet. Write to us from support if your server needs it.

Yes. The app port is open on every Rust server. Each player then pairs the server from the game menu and follows the map and their alarms on their phone.

Yes: backups keep your files and your players' data. Generated map files are left out, since the server recreates them from the size and seed.
